While it doesn’t seem that long ago that the FHHS Class of 1970 celebrated our 50th reunion, it’s just about time to get together to celebrate the… wait for it… 55th anniversary of that June evening in 1970 when we all marched up the aisle and received our diplomas from Mr. DeJonge!
The Class of 70 Reunion Committee has planned a somewhat more modest celebration of our 55th. A lovely room at Thousand Oaks Golf Club in northeast Grand Rapids has been reserved for Saturday, September 6. As in 2022, we have additional activities planned for the weekend, and we hope you can attend. More details can be found in the following paragraphs.
As we approach our mid-70s (!), we hope everyone is happy, healthy, and enjoying retirement!

Friday, September 5: Escape Room
Another escape room is being planned for Friday, Sept 5, 2025. The Great Escape Room on Fulton St is a FAR better escape room than the other one we tried at the last reunion.
The cost is $35 per person, and the event will run from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Friday, September 5: Night at Gipper’s
To kick off our 55th Reunion weekend, an informal get-together will be held at Gipper’s Restaurant and Bar on Friday evening, September 5, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 6: Evening Party
The FHHS Class of 1970 will commemorate the 55th anniversary of our graduation on Saturday evening, September 6, at Thousand Oaks Country Club, 6:00 – 10 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres, a build-your-own Taco Fiesta Bar, and dessert will be included with the cost of admission. A cash bar with soft drinks, beer, wine, and liquor will also be available.
